Four or More

four or more makeup tag
The purpose of this YouTube tag is to check out the items in one’s makeup stash and pulling out the ones with four or more like products from the same brand. I used this more as an evaluation of like items in my stash and I have FAR more than I thought I did (cringe)…

Lip Products 4 or MoreThis one SHOCKED me. I rarely wear lip products yet this is the section with the most duplicates/multiples. What the heck. Must stop lip purchases.

  • No surprise here, I have five of the incredible Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencils – Sex Machine, Cruella (my lover), Never Say Never, Damned and Palmpol. My favorite lipstick formula of LIFE.
  • I have exactly four MAC lipsticks – Rebel, Russian Red, Ruby Woo and Dubonnet – and I love them all (but Rebel is my favorite child).
  • Staying on the MAC train, I also have five of their incredible lip liners – Brick, Cherry, Chestnut, Whirl and Spice.
  • I’m not a huge fan of lip gloss or liquid lipsticks (yet I have a ton), but these Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquers are gorgeous. These rich colors are completely opaque in one swipe – WINNER. Plus they’re from the drugstore pricing at a mere $5. Yasss.

buxom lipglosses zoe crashed

A pretty little fox (Pomchi) named Zoe caught me in a blog photo sesh and this was too cute not to post. I have plenty of the Buxom Full-On Lip Polishes because they are AMAZE. Best lip gloss ever.

Eye Makeup 4 or More

  • already talked about my sickening amount of Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners. I’m desperately trying to use them all up, but using eyeliner is much harder than I thought!
  • Eyeshadow palettes count, right? Urban Decay makes the best eyeshadow palettes in my opinion and I have five – I forgot to include my depotted Book of Shadows – lovely ones.
  • I also love MAC eyeshadows and have plenty of those. Probably my favorite eyeshadow formula although it’s a close call with Urban Decay.
  • The MAC Paint Pots are fabulous cream eyeshadows and (surprisingly) last forever.

hourglass ambient lighting powders

This one is a semi-cheat. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders have a trio palette that I decided should count in the total number of these bad boys purely because they are so expensive. But these magical face powders are worth every penny.

Ahh, Urban Decay. The best addiction ever! I love that we LOVE makeup:)

Hope you’re doing well! How’s school and grad school this semester? 🙂

  2. Are we the same person? I LOVE Bare Escentuals, and the UD eyeliners are amazing (not just because of pigment, but also how long they last). I agree that the UD palettes have the most wearable shades, and they last a long time. I’ve had mine for a year, and I just hit pan on one of the shades.

One brand I think is really underrated is Clinique. Their foundations are the best in my opinion, especially their Even Better formula. They also have some wonderful sheer lip products I like as I’m not a gloss or lipstick wearer.

    • If we were the same person, I would die. You’re my fave blogger, so just commenting on this post is giving me heart palpations – ha!

Hitting pan on an eyeshadow is MAJOR. Never have I ever…

I agree with you about Clinique – great foundations, skin care and lipsticks. Although I think they’ve positioned themselves as a niche market. Now that they’re trying to break out, they need a major change in order to do so and declare themselves to the world as a brand for everyone – not just the natural girls, mothers, those with rosacea, etc. I think if they made a MAJOR packaging change this would help a lot to break that green packaging 90’s-mold they’re stuck in. Ya feel?

      • That’s so sweet of you to say! The more I read of your blog, the more I realize how much we’re alike. It’s the little things, you know? Makes me feel like a junior high kid again, and seeing that my friend and I both have bubblegum lip smackers.

Totally agree about Clinique. I think they did a good job when they first came out, but now EVERY brand has a natural/eco line so they aren’t special anymore. They feel old to me, and they’d do better if they tried to capture a younger market who burn through money like crazy on stuff like this.

      • Hehe, let’s pass notes in the hall, okay?!

Agreed. They just need to target a new market . They did a good job of getting the teens (and everyone) earlier this Spring/Summer with those pop flower blush thingies. I didn’t get one, but it looks like everyone else loved them!

      • Can I just say – I totally agree that they need to revamp their packaging BUT at the same time the green 90s look makes me soooo nostalgic! I’m a 90s girl through and through haha

  3. I don’t think I have EVER hit pan on an eyeshadow before 0 _ o And yet I tend to have a lot of eyeshadow palettes (thanks a lot Sleek!)… funny how the products we use least accumulate the most lol
