I’m obsessed with miniature sized everything – mini soda cans, mini horses, mini makeup. The list goes on and on. Being a pro travel packer (#divorcekid), I utilize mini toiletries in my travel bag as much as possible. Smaller products saves on space, luggage weight, and allows me to try more products. Although this adorable nylon bag from C. Wonder can fit a small child, I still try to pack efficiently so that my travel toiletries bag and makeup bag will not take up my entire suitcase.
Check out some of my favorite travel minis below:
GoGear Travel Tube – I’m fairly certain I picked up this multi-purpose gem at Target or The Container Store. The thick silicone is sturdy, yet easily bendable for any shape or size you need. I use mine for body wash and refill it every so often with whatever I’m using at home. I find that shampoo and conditioner samples are a dime a dozen, but good body wash samples are harder to find which is why I love this little container.
GlamGlow Youthmud Exfoliating Mask – I adore the GlamGlow masks and having this small tube of pampering to take on the road with me is heaven. I try to get these from Sephora as free samples or 100 point perks as often as possible.
Arm & Hammer Toothpaste – This is mostly a plug for the best toothpaste on the planet. Once you’ve tried it you’ll never go back. I can barely stand Crest, Colgate, etc. because they taste like candy compared to the super cleaning powers of this baking soda. YUM.
Venus Snap Razor* – This razor and case is so amazing for travel. Rather than playing a game of slice and dice every time I rummage through my travel bag, my hands are protected with this nifty razor travel case. The tiny razor is super cute and still fits regular Venus replacement blades – even the extra bulky kind with the lotion strips. Genius.
Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes – I vastly prefer the Kirkland Face Wipes, but they don’t come in travel sizes. You can grab these small, handy packs from Simple and Neutrogena in the dollar, travel section of Target.
St. Tropez One Night Only Instant Glow Body Lotion – Not that this is an everyday staple for me, but this instant tan/glow lotion is a nice “extra” for my travel bag. Glam on the glow. It’s like the Sally Hansen Airbrush Leg Makeup but less pigmented in cream form.
Gucci Guilty Eau de Toilette Spray – I don’t get to take all of the products I use on an every day basis with me in my travel bag, but having one of my regular perfumes in a smaller spray bottle is very comforting, reminding me of home while on the road. The only thing I don’t love about this size, is that the bottle is glass… It hasn’t broken yet, so fingers crossed!
Lancome Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover – I have not tried any makeup removing wipes that clean eye makeup very well, therefore I have this separate small bottle exactly for that. I love Lancome skin care and especially love when I get these sample sizes (like the two below as well) to throw in my bag. Plus, I can refill and reuse these FOREVER – YES!
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Skin Therapy Oil – Always good to have a lil bit of oil around for extra dry skin. After a long day of walking around NYC, I especially like mixing oil with lotion to slather all over my feet. Cocoa butter in any form is amazing stuff.
Philosophy Purity Cleanser – When traveling, I don’t want to use anything too crazy/exfoliating/acne curing/etc. I want just the basic cleanser. That’s where this bad boy comes into play. I simply refill it with my larger bottle of Purity and will probably continue doing this forever.
Lancome Genifique Yeux Light-Pearl Eye Concentrate – Just because I’m on vacation does not mean I can neglect my skin care. I’m obsessed with anti-aging especially around my eyes, but damn this stuff is crazy expensive. So I’m especially grateful that I received this eye serum as an order add-on and will use every drop.
Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate – Best serum ever and having it in a tiny, plastic bottle makes me beyond giddy while traveling. Oh, how I love those gifts with purchase.
EltaMD UV Sport Broad-Spectrum SPF 50 – My dermatologist recommended this brand of sunscreen for my rosacea and acne-prone skin. Better yet, my dermatologist hands out these samples like candy. It’s truly amazing stuff, even with the slight smell. It is so important for everyone to wear sunscreen every single day especially for my pale skin and my quest for life long anti-aging.
*I received the Venus Snap Razor in an Influenster Vox Box. Influenster is free and open to anyone who signs up & wants to test out new products! Weeeee.
What’s in your travel bag? Do you use miniature products or go full-sized all the way?
