I’m not a huge fan of “What I got for Christmas”
look at all my stuff posts, but since I unwrapped some beauty items, I thought I would share only those things along with some jewelry that I received. Thanks Santa 😉
Also, sorry for this post being a bit late. I spent much of the holiday with grandparents who are possibly the only people in the U.S. WITHOUT INTERNET. True story. Welcome to small town ‘Merica.
This perfume is my signature scent. The best description for this perfume is spicy and a bit musky. I generally prefer to get the smallest size in perfume bottles, because it takes me quite a while to use up even that, but the only one Sephora had was in the largest size. This makes me a bit concerned that the scent may be discontinued…
Obviously this nail set was no surprise if you read my Christmas Wishlist. I’ve already cracked open a few of the colors and they are simply gorgeous. What a great set and range of shades. Love it!
Pearl-Lined Gold Hoop Earrings
I thought I would include the jewelry from Christmas as well since it’s somewhat beauty/style related. The earrings are pearl-lined gold hoops – simple and gorgeous. I’m not sure where my stepmom got these from, but I found a pretty close alternative on Etsy.
The EllandEmm necklace was a Christmas request. I found the creator of this jewelry line through YouTube and immediately fell in love with her hand-made pieces. Although this necklace is beautiful, I’m a bit surprised by the quality for the price (or really any price for that matter). In the pictures I scoped out online it seemed like the chain and jewel material looked to be better quality, but this feels like costume jewelry. I bought a gold chain necklace from one of the cheapest wholesalers at AmericasMart in Atlanta for less than $10 and it is better quality than this $40 necklace. I’m considering sending an “I’m disappointed” email to EllandEmm, but maybe this post took the fight out of me. It is beautiful, but I probably won’t purchase from her again.
I’ve been drooling over this eyeshadow palette for quite a while and now that I’ve cracked it open, it does not disappoint. All of the shades are extremely buttery and some of the best quality I own. This is quickly becoming one of my top eyeshadow palettes. Unfortunately, it’s already sold out (insert a Gilly “sorry” voice here).
My parents also got me a very nice gift card to Spa Nordstrom, one of my favorite spas in Atlanta. I’ll probably use it for a facial, brow wax and maybe some Jane Iredale products.
Hourglass is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands with my love for the Ambient Lighting Powders and Mineral Veil Primer. This trio of powders is such a good deal and chock full of gorgeous product. I watched many reviews including this palette, but I was still surprised at how small each powder is (I still love it though).
This Whish gift set was a surprise and a delicious, Pomegranate smelling one at that. This set from Nordstrom includes a body wash, shave cream, body lotion and serum.
I have become sheet masking obsessed since being lured into the skin care cult by Crazy Miss Tammy and Michele from YouTube. The TJ Maxx near my grandparents’ home was full of these Masqueology sheet masks that Tammy says are a great buy. Since I want to look exactly like her one day, I do as she says. So Santa got some for me and added them to my stocking for Christmas Day. I tested out the Lifting & Firming and the Acne masks and I’m head over heels for the Acne one. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these. I’ve already scoured my local TJ Maxx(s) and Marshalls but to no avail. If you can find these in your city, I highly recommend you buy out the entire stock. Anti-aging is no joke. Just do it.
Finally, I have to include my absolute favorite Christmas gift. This “Random Crap” bag is ginormous and I absolutely love it. I’ll probably keep it in my car and use it for my… random crap.
Christmas was wonderful and of course the best part was not gifts, but spending time with family and friends. They are my ultimate Christmas favorite. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
