Sephora & Beauty.com Haul

As I already confessed, I broke my makeup buying ban to take advantage of the Sephora and Beauty.com 20% off sales. Worth it? Heck yes.

Sephora and Beauty.com Haul

Sephora’s sale was exclusive to Friends & Family or VIBs while Beauty.com’s sale was open to everyone. I placed two orders for a couple of reasons:

1. Beauty.com has some brands that Sephora does not carry (Kevyn Aucoin for instance) and…

2. I was afraid that Sephora would sell out of the items that I wanted before I could place my order.

Thankfully, all the items I wanted from Sephora were still available when I placed my order so I was able to get everything on my list. Three items (potentially from my Christmas wish list) are not included below, but I’ll show them later.

Sephora and Beauty.com Haul 4

A couple of thoughts/ first impressions:

Clarisonic Delicate Brush Heads  – Staple re-order (although my first time ordering the “delicate” version)

NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder – I’ve heard quite a bit of hype around this product, but can’t quite tell the difference in smoothing my pores / blurring lines. Am I doing something wrong?!

Butter London Matte Finish Topcoat – Holy crap this stuff is amazing. Completely mattifies my nails and dries in SECONDS. This product only furthers my love for Butter London polish.

Benefit Eye Bright  – Staple re-order

Kevyn Aucoin Medium Sculpting Powder – I’ve lusted after this item for quite a while as a great contour for my pale skin. I’ve only used it once so far and this stuff is seriously pigmented. Like WHOA. Also, I’m surprised by how small the packaging is; I thought it was half product, half brush but it seems that they streamlined the packaging. Usually this makes me very happy (there’s nothing worse than bulky packaging with poorly made applicators), but I was actually looking forward to the nice, flat contouring brush.

NARS Eyeshadow in Bali – I heard about this eyeshadow as a recommendation for a universal eyebrow color. We shall see…

Urban Decay Urban Essentials Kit (Sephora 500 point perk) – I was so excited for this 500 point reward to gain mini versions of already beloved UD products like their Eyeshadow Primer Potion, All Nighter Spray, and Mushroom eyeshadow. I’m already in love with the Vitamin B6 Complexion Prep spray. I am a bit disappointed that the Mushroom packaging wasn’t an actual eyeshadow pot but rather a cardboard shell. Oh well, I’m still quite happy with the overall kit.

Sephora Free Lips Bag VIB Sale Sephora and Beauty.com Haul

During this sale, everyone who placed an order also received a free “lips” bag. Loves it – I’ll take it!
Did anyone else place ridiculous orders for these sales?

    • I bet they’ll move across the pond soon!

I have a suspicion that the brand’s popularity is due to the fact that some people think it’s a “shee-shee” polish actually made/based in London, when it’s really made in Seattle. Silly commoners 🙂

      • I think the fact that it’s only just started to be sold in the UK gives it away a little. It’s really expensive over here, so I will keep my fingers crossed Santa brings me some
